Hotter Than Blue Blazes: Summer in the West Exhibit featuring artwork from the Pearce’s permanent collection, this exhibit contrasts the recent show, “The West in Winter,” and communicates the ferocious heat of the Wild West. See the lives of ranchers depicted in art during the hottest part of the year, or catch a moment of respite as a cowboy naps in the shade. The Rose Hill Cemetery Association will host its annual meeting at 12:30 p.m. at the Blooming Grove Elementary School cafeteria. Bring covered dishes. Awards and door prizes are given out during the meeting. Kids are always welcome.

Midway Cemetery and Church will hold its annual Memorial services at 11 a.m. The service will be followed by a short business meeting.  At 11:45 a.m. They will be unveiling its new Texas Historical Marker and hear comments by Dr. MaryJane McReynolds, Chair of the Navarro County Historical Commission. Lunch will begin around noon in the picnic area.  Please bring enough food for your own family, although sharing amongst families is always appreciated.  Plates, cups, utensils, napkins, and ice will be provided in limited supplies.
