BLOOMING GROVE — Blooming Grove High School seniors Kevin Brewer, Cody Williams and Riggin Barham wanted to add a wrinkle to the senior class T-shirts this year.

They set out and designed a one of a kind look that their classmate responded favorably to.

“We got tired of the norm,” Williams said. “We waned to do something different.”

In years past, the senior T-shirt typically had the year of graduation and students signatures on the numbers.

Not so with the class of 2007.

Since many of the seniors come from different cities all within the Blooming Grove School District, the trio decided to pay homage to the various towns.

The shirts have Population: 67 on the front and on the back have a map of the local area with each city represented. A sign on each of the cities dons the signatures of the particular students who reside in that town.

The star of Texas connects all of the cities.

Blooming Grove High School has students from Barry, Emhouse, Blooming Grove, Navarro Mills and Dresden.

The designers had to go before the school in a vote before the T-shirts were approved.

The T-shirts themselves sell for $10.

Brewer is involved in student council, the Leo club, FFA and 4-H.

Williams is involved in athletics, 4-H, FFA, student government and FCA.

Barham is involved in the same activities as Williams.

The trio have been best friends since kindergarten and all plan on attending college in the fall.
