Corsicana Police have made three arrests in connection with the vandalism of Oaklawn Cemetery on Oct. 3.

Police Chief Randy Bratton said in a statement issued Wednesday that the three suspects — all juveniles — were charged with criminal mischief over $20,000 but less than $100,000, a third degree felony.

The suspects, one 14 year old male, and two 15 year old males, were ordered released to the custody of their guardians by the Navarro County Juvenile Probation Department, Bratton said. He added that no additional suspects are being sought in connection with the incident.

Repairs to the 40 headstones damaged in the attack are estimated to be about $60,000, Bratton said, after additional damage was discovered.

The repairs at the cemetery will be overseen by the City of Public Works Department.
