Name: Stan Farmer
Family: I’ve been happily married to my wife of 15 years, Jennifer Farmer. We have two young boys, Jacob is 11 years old and Tyler is 8 years old. My parents are Stan Farmer and Susan Farmer. My Grandparents are Don Farmer, the late Mary Farmer, the late Katherine-Richards Wilson, and the late Joe Wilson. I have one sister, Shae, who is married to my brother-in-law, Mickey Hillock.

Occupation/experience: Navarro County Deputy Sheriff / I have 12 years of active law enforcement experience and currently a Detective Sergeant in Criminal Investigations assigned to the Narcotics Division

How long have you lived in the district: I was born and raised in Corsicana, Navarro County, Texas. I’m a 5th generation Navarro County Resident. I have lived in Precinct 3 for the last 9 years.
What do you believe the No. 1 issue in your race is? The No. 1 issue is to return an unquestionable reputation to the office of precinct 3. My intent is to run a fair and professional office. I will be a “hands-on” judge, leader for the staff, and understanding of our citizens of precinct 3. I will give constant attention to my responsibilities as a Justice of the Peace.
What are some of the other key issues, and how would you handle them?
The Office of Pct. 3 Court is in need of my quality service, undeniable experience, and absolute understanding of the court system. It is very rewarding to help the people of this county, and I am dedicated to serving our community.
Do you have any criminal justice/legal experience relevant to this position? I have 12 years of active Law Enforcement experience and I’m currently employed as a Detective Sergeant with the Navarro County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Narcotics Division. I have an extensive working relationship with the current Justice of the Peace Courts. This relationship has provided me valuable knowledge important to the position of Justice of the Peace. I also have countless hours of courtroom experience with Federal, District, County, and Appellate Courts.
Why should voters consider you? Integrity and ethics are part and parcel to this profession where my credibility would be valued. My current knowledge of the law, my real job related experiences, and my familiarity with the court’s process and procedures will allow me to bring this office back to the high quality of the other respected courts. I have proven my unwavering dedication to the citizens of this community and plan to continue this high standard of dedication.

How long have you lived in the district: I have lived in Dawson, texas all my life
What do you believe the No. 1 issue in your race is? The #1 issue in this race is to have dedicated personnel to run an efficient and respectful office.
What are some of the other key issues, and how would you handle them? Other key issues would be to keep an open door policy with the other personnel and to work closely with the other JP Offices. Also to handle matters in a timely manner and keep on top of all issues that may arise.
Do you have any criminal justice/legal experience relevant to this position? I feel the years that I was in Law Enforcement and the criminal justice schools that I attended have given me experience in this field.
Why should voters consider you? I feel I have the knowledge and experience to run the JP 3 office and to be fair and honest to all who would come before me.
