First Baptist Church Corsicana will host The PraiSingers from Travis Avenue Baptist Church, Fort Worth, a senior adult choir in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at 510 W. Collin St. The concert is free and open to the public. The 150 voice choir sings a variety of traditional and gospel music, and ends with a musical salute to our Armed Forces. The choir makes about 15 appearances a year for association and state events, retirement communities and churches.

First Baptist Church of Mertens will have a service to celebrate the final Sunday in its present sanctuary at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23. The building was constructed in 1924 and will be removed to allow for the building of a new sanctuary. Refreshments will follow the service. All are welcome to attend.

The Cowboy Church of Corsicana located at 5864 W. Missionary Baptist Church, 405 S. 15th Street, Corsicana. Blessings continue to overflow MBC's “cup” with answered prayers, spiritual growth, great fellowship and good attendance. Plans and preparations are now beginning in earnest for Vacation Bible School and Summer Youth Camp. MBC is very proud of the Youth Directors and all the faithful young people participating in each activity. Sanders served a total of seven y ears in the United States Air Force and is an Iraq Freedom veteran. Sanders is married to Katiah Sanders, and they have four children. Rev. Sanders is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Christian counseling at Liberty University. Rev. Sanders has been preaching the Gospel for over eight years. Northside Baptist Church offers Grief Share, a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close. Grief Share is non-denominational and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. A 13-week course begins Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Northside Baptist Church. The meeting will be in the white house across the street from Northside, 222 Forest Lane beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. You will have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a loss, learn from their experiences and share your own.
