Grace Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 402 E. 14th Ave., and its Grace Green Missionary Society will host a fundraising breakfast to benefit its Queen Esther candidate, Miss Ashley Donaldson, at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014. Ashley is the granddaughter of Revs. Michael and Joann Donaldson and is very active in her church. Bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits, toast, grits, fruit, orange juice, milk and coffee will be served. Plates are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The public is invited to drop by, have breakfast and meet Grace Temple's Queen Esther candidate.

New Bethel Baptist Church, 701 Elm Flat Road, Kerens, will have the Annual Men’s Day Service at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 16. Kelly’s Temple COGIC, 501 N. Third, Corsicana, will be in a one-day soul-saving Revival at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16 with guest speaker Pastor Roosevelt Johnson of New Mt. Horeb Church, 615 Ash St., Ferris bringing the spoken word. Elder Billy Joe Kelly is the host of this revival. All are welcome.

Church on the Rock, I-45 in Rice (across from Rice High School) will host a three-day “Gathering of the Eagles” March 14-16. The Friday service will begin at 7 p.m.; the Saturday, March 15 service will begin at 10 a.m. with guest speakers all day. Dinner will be provided at the church. Sunday will wrap up these special services beginning at 10 a.m. and concluding by 6 p.m. Dynamic speakers will come from Arkansas, Louisiana, Iowa, and several locations in Texas. Everyone is welcome.

Wesley United Methodist Church, 3308 N. Beaton, will host a Fifth Sunday Singing and Dinner Sunday, March 30. The Douglas Family will perform from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a lasagna dinner which will be $8 for adults and $4 for children.

Lone Star Cowboy Church of Navarro County, located at 4495 W. The Cowboy Church of Corsicana, 5864 W. Hwy. 31 would like to invite the public to its Sunday morning worship service at 10 a.m. This Sunday, March 16, special guest singer is Justin Todd Herod. He is a Christian Country singer who brings "music with a message." The CCC band will also perform. Weekly Bible Study is held at the church each Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. A nursery is provided during the regular worship service for infants and small children. The expansion of the building is taking rapid shape and will give the church much needed room for its growing attendance. Derek Rogers serves as pastor. Intercessors for Navarro County Men’s Prayer Breakfast will meet at Navarro College at Lone Star Room in the cafeteria at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday mornings.  Northside Baptist Church offers Grief Share, a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close. Grief Share is non-denominational and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. A 13-week course begins Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Northside Baptist Church. The meeting will be in the white house across the street from Northside, 222 Forest Lane  beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. You will have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a loss, learn from their experiences and share your own.
