Cornerstone Baptist Church, 801 N. 13th St., invites preschool through sixth grade children to “Crocodile Dock: Where Fearless Kids Shine God’s Light” from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. June 8-12.

Kids will jump into bayou fun at “Crocodile Dock” where they will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into yummy treats, experience electrifying Bible adventures, collect Bible memory buddies to remind them of God’s word, and create Bible point crafts they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God sightings. Each day will conclude at “Firefly Finale” — a celebration that will get everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 8:30 p.m.

Kids at “Crocodile Dock” will join nearly a million children sharing God’s love in a hands-on mission project, helping disaster victims in North America.

At 11 a.m. June 7, the church will have a great “kickoff” day with children’s church at 11 a.m. featuring a puppet performance and Bible learning games. The children are invited for a hamburger and homemade ice cream swim party from 5 to 7 p.m. Meet at the church, ready to swim.

First United Methodist Church of Corsicana, 320 N. 15th St., invites you to join the youth of the church in helping keep the environment clean and safe for future generations by recycling your old cell phones and computer ink cartridges. These items will be shipped to the Think Recycle Program where they will be recycled and reused. Recycling containers are located in three places within the church. The containers are inside each outside door on the parking lot side of the building. You may also collect at your place of business and call (903) 874-5656 when you have a full box to be picked up. The money raised from this project will be used for mission trips and other youth activities.

Navarro Mills Baptist Church will have a summer kick-off jamboree beginning at 4 p.m. June 6 with a jump house for the kids, hot dogs and games. You can also register your children for Vacation Bible School, which will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 15-19. The theme will be “Boomerang Express.”

At the jamboree, you can come see a collection of classic cars, hot rods, and modified trucks.
