Hubbard Garden Club

Hubbard Garden Club will present its 69th annual flower show from 2 to 5 p.m. April 19 at Historic Hubbard High School, 300 N.W. Sixth St. Tris Scott, longtime club member, is this year’s flower show chairman and she has planned an interesting and creative show centered around the theme “Flowers are the Jewels of the Garden.”

Nature has given beautiful and vibrant shades of colors that can be found in yards and gardens throughout the year like those of tulips, poppies, various colors of roses, delphiniums, narcissus, chrysanthemums and many others. The colors of these beautiful flowers can also be likened to sparking jewels such as diamonds, garnets, sapphires, emeralds, turquoise, pearls and many others. Club members will be challenged to create floral arrangements depicting these many “jewels of the garden.”
