The Literary Club

    The Literary Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. May 21 at Kinsloe House. The program will be “Culinary Mysteries” by Cecelia Alexander. Hostesses will be Geneva Davis and Peggy Farmer.

James Blair Chapter, DAR

    James Blair Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will have its “White Breakfast” meeting at 11 a.m. May 18 at Kinsloe House. Joy D. Hagg, Texas DAR regent, will be installing the new chapter officers. To make reservations for this special meal, contact chapter treasurer Ellen Adair at (903) 872-9273 by noon May 14.

    The Daughters of the American Revolution is an historical genealogical heritage organization open to female descendants of American patriots who served or gave service to the American government during the American Revolutionary War. Woman’s Club House Association

    Michael Hanna has been providing listening enjoyment to Kinsloe members and their guests throughout this Kinsloe year. A talented pianist, he has provided beautiful background music for Kinsloe program lunches and Sunday lunches. On May 19, he will entertain his audience by telling about some of the people he has worked with, presenting three of his students, and playing selections of his choice.

    Hanna, a Navarro County native, is a highly acclaimed musician with extensive experience in both live performance and musical production. He has performed before thousands in concert halls and theaters worldwide as well as composing original music for films, television, video and international events. His experience includes an extensive background in playing, writing, and composing music arrangements for top recording artists in addition to teaching and mentoring students. A graduate of the University of North Texas, Hanna has a foundation of 17 years of classical piano studies and 30 years in electronic music, gaining proficiency in all keyboards and musical genres.

Corsicana Newcomers Club

    Corsicana Newcomers Club will meet at 11 a.m. May 27 at Kinsloe House, 618 W. Third Ave. Lunch will be $12. The speaker will be from Healthy Woman. Call ahead so a reservation can be made.

    The “Lunch Bunch” will meet at 11:30 a.m. May 13 at Fiesta Grill, 123 N. Commerce St. Call Alice Kautz at (903) 874-0844 so she can reserve tables.

    The “Roadrunners” will go the Dallas Farmers Market May 20. They will meet at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church parking lot, across from H-E-B, and return at 4 p.m. The Roadrunners will shop at the market and have lunch at the Mexican restaurant.
