Dec. 8

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3366, located at Veterans Drive off West State Highway 31, will have First Class Karaoke with Jerry and Nedra House from 8 to midnight. No cover charge. The VFW Post canteen will open at 4 p.m. For more information, call after 4 p.m. to (903) 872-3811.



Dec. 8-10

Warehouse Living Arts Center, 119 W. Sixth Ave., will present “An Evening with Mahood and Miller” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8-9 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 10. the 2006 bonus show will present Sandra McClure Mahood and Monica Miller in a presentation of song and comedy. Mahood and Miller will be accompanied by Sandra Huffman, H.M. Davenport and LaReese Arnold. Many 2006 season ticket holders earned free tickets to this production. Dec. 9

American Legion Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., invites members and their guests for an evening with Country Sue’s Karaoke from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. No cover charge. Post will open at 2 p.m. For more information, call (903) 874-3938.



The Coyote Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force will meet at 9 a.m. at the Coyote Squadron Hangar at the Corsicana Municipal Airport for a short business meeting. After the meeting, attendees will finish preparations for a barbecue lunch and to draw the winning ticket for a 2006 Arctic Cat 4x4 ATV. Lunch will be at 11 a.m. and the drawing for the ATV will be at noon. Guests are welcome at the barbecue lunch and drawing. After the drawing, there will be a flying demonstration by Falcon Flight, a renowned formation flying team. Col. Steve Richmond, a member of the Coyote Squadron, is also a member of Falcon Flight.



Dec. 10

Hospice of Cedar Lake, 625 N. Main St., will have its annual memorial service and candle lighting will be held at 2 p.m. Anyone who has lost a loved one, and would like to light a candle for them in remembrance, is encouraged to attend. Dec. 11

The district court jury panel for 1:30 p.m. has been dismissed.

Corsicana Band Boosters will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the new Corsicana High School band hall. Parents of students in Drane Intermediate School, Collins Middle School and Corsicana High School bands, and anyone else who is interested in encouraging and supporting the band program are invited to attend.



Heritage Oaks West, 3300 W. Second Ave., will have a big indoor craft sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.



Dec. 12

National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1191 will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Ennis Corral. Officers for 2007 will be installed. Also in the spirit of giving, members will bring children’s wear and/or non-perishable food items to be delivered to Daniel’s Den in Waxahachie and Helping Hands in Ennis. Navarro Regional Hospital Auxiliary will have a uniform and shoe sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 12 and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 13 in the hospital classrooms.
