A body was discovered in the remnants of a travel trailer destroyed by fire Sunday morning in the 1300 block of North Fourth Street in Corsicana.

Firefighters were called to the blaze about 10:16 a.m. Sunday, just north of Oak Grove Road off Business 45. The trailer was parked next to a single-wide mobile home, and was completely destroyed by the fire.

Police and fire investigators were on the scene shortly after the blaze to begin a probe into the cause of the fire. Police made one arrest near the scene shortly after the fire on charges of public intoxication.

Connie Hickman, Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace, said the body was so badly burned the victim’s identification or sex could not be confirmed, and ordered an autopsy.
