Corsicana Public Library once again has its summer reading program through the months of June and July. This year’s theme is “Libraries Deep in the Heart of Texas.” Registration is ongoing at the library for children of all ages. Prizes will be awarded for every five hours of reading.
At 11 a.m. every Thursday in June and July, the library will have a special program in conjunction with the reading program. Programs scheduled are: Creature Teacher, June 4; Mister Jazz, June 11; Maricella Allish and her puppets, June 18; Corsicana Fire Department, June 25; Have fun with Debbie Day, July 2; decorate the library sidewalk with chalk, July 9; make travel journals, July 16; Corsicana Police Department, July 23; and Len Barnett and his drums, July 30.
Besides the summer reading program, Storytime continues each Friday at 10 a.m. for preschool children ages 3 to 5 (though all age groups are welcome).
