The City of Corsicana, in response to a Freedom of Information request from the Daily Sun, has released the names of the five officers whose suspensions were announced Monday by Corsicana Police Chief Randy Bratton.
Det. Seth Fuller, Sgt. Paul Jock, Cpl. Trent Parker, Det. Dan McAninch and Officer Bob Blake were the officers who were handed down suspensions ranging from 12 to 15 working days following an internal investigation by the department.
The five were accused of providing a confidential password to a records clerk at the department, and allowing that clerk to take recertification tests on behalf of the officers.
The records clerk, Melissa Grimes, resigned from the department after the internal investigation began.
Bratton said in a press release that all five officers accepted the terms of their suspensions, four of which began March 16, the and fifth beginning March 22.
More on this story later today and in the Tuesday print edition of the Daily Sun.
