Intermittent closures of all mainlanes and frontage road lanes on I-45 near Palmer will occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. both Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 13 and 14.
There will be a total of four complete closures no longer than 10 minutes each — two on both days. There is planned to be a two-hour period of time between each freeway closure. Brazos Electric Cooperative will be pulling aerial transmission lines across the highway necessitating the total lane closures.
Police and contractor crews will be present to assist with the closures. Message boards will be placed to alert the traffic of the closures on those days.
Those traveling to and from Dallas both Wednesday and Thursday should be aware of the planned work, and allow for possible extra travel time due to the work.
