ATHENS, Texas (AP) — A 28-year-old man was arrested in Henderson County on a murder charge after a woman died following a chemical explosion at an alleged methamphetamine lab.

Henderson County Sheriff Ray Nutt said authorities believe the 20-year-old victim died Thursday from exposure to anhydrous ammonia after a container ruptured in a storage building in the western part of the county, the Tyler Morning Telegraph reported. The woman's name was withheld pending notification of relatives. She died in a Dallas hospital.

Joseph Don Myers, who was not at home at the time of the accident, has been charged with murder and manufacturing of a controlled substance.

The jail had no information on whether Myers had an attorney.
