The Navarro County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division arrested a wanted fugitive Friday, charged with conspiracy to possess stolen firearms.
According to the department's press release, NCSO was alerted by the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office CID of Trent Freeman, 37, a wanted fugitive with a federal warrant out of the Western District of Texas, who was believed to be in Navarro County.
He was arrested without incident after being found at a home on NW 3322 in the Brushie Prairie community.
“Our CID investigators were familiar with the suspect from previous investigations earlier this year where we assisted McLennan County S.O. with their investigation.” stated Sheriff Elmer Tanner.
“This is just another example of agencies working together to help keep our community safe. Good job all.”
Freeman will be held in the Navarro County Jail awaiting transfer by the United States Marshals Service.
