The Navarro County Sheriff's Office removed four dogs from a location in Angus and arrested the owner following an investigation into severe animal cruelty Monday, June 10.

Linda Joann Campbell, 39, was booked into the Navarro County Jail on four counts of cruelty to non-livestock animals, failing to provide food, care or shelter. Campbell was released the following day on bonds totaling $4,000.

During their investigation, NCSO Deputies detained Campbell while they obtained seizure warrants so the four emaciated dogs could receive immediate care, followed up by a warrant for her arrest.
