Police arrest man found face down in park

Corsicana Police Department arrested a man for drugs Tuesday, July 16 after he was found lying face down in the grass at Community Park.

When Corsicana Emergency Medical Services arrived, Leslie Theodore Rich III, 27, of Barry handed officers a black case that was tied to his shorts. He told police he did not know whose it was and police said he appeared to be on drugs.

Inside the case, officers found 23 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, empty baggies, K2 synthetic marijuana and money.

Rich was transported to Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana.

Officers obtained a warrant and arrested him upon release.

He was charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, over four grams but under 200 grams, and possession of a controlled substance penalty, group four under 28 grams; possession of a controlled substance, penalty group two under two ounces, and revocation of probation.

He was booked into Navarro County Jail where his bond has been set at $75,000.
