A one-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Dawson left a man dead.

According to Texas Department of Public Saftey Sgt. Sara Warren, troopers responded to a crash on South Highway 31 just one and a half miles west of FM 667.

The preliminary investigation shows that a 2009 white Ford F250 pickup was traveling east on 31 when, for an as of yet undetermined reason, the pickup veered off the road nto the median where it rolled multiple times before coming to rest on the north shoulder of the westbound side of 31.

The driver, Isaac Lopez, 37, of Corpus Christi, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3, Jackie Freeland.

The investigation is still ongoing and there is no other information available at this time.
