The Beamon family shared an update on Faith's road to recovery, and gave special recognition to coach Shawn Barton and his team, the Mildred Eagles 12-U softball team, who dedicated their season to Faith.

Faith is the young mother who was in a life-altering car accident in December. Since then, Faith has been working toward rehabilitation with the help of family, friends, and the community.

According to Faith's mom, Christie, the Mildred Eagles gave her a jersey with her name on it and the players had a ball with her name and number on it placed on their jerseys.

They also presented the family with a monetary gift to go toward the van purchased to transport Faith.

“Shawn was also Faith's select ball coach when she played for a team in Waxahachie. Faith also graduated with his daughter, Kristlyn, who is now serving our country in the U.S. Navy. Please keep her and all her family in all your prayers,” Christie said.

Recently, Faith had a night out with her buddies, Madison, Jada, Lexi and Sara, who picked her up and took her to see the Lion King.

“She had the best time, we have never seen smile so big,” her mom said. “Next trip will be the zoo when it gets cooler.”

Faith is doing well according to Christie. Since entering the rehabilitative program at TIRR Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston she has made progress in improving her mobility and alertness.

“It's amazing what the field of medicine holds,” she said. “The staff at TIRR Hermann Memorial are amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better team of doctors. We pray in the near future we are able to go back for more therapy.”

“God has been so good to us and our family. Brian and I can’t thank everyone enough for all the prayers, cards, calls, letter, support – emotional and monetarily. We love you all so very much.”

Brian and Christie simply cannot put into words how rich the blessings your prayers, calls, cards, emails, visits, texts, and donations have been to them. Your prayers for healing and strength are a great encouragement to the family. Please continue to keep Faith, Brian, Christie, and Aaron in your prayers.

“We give God all the Glory, for he is continually healing Faith Elane’s body on a daily basis,” Christie said.
