Hal Wasson, head football coach at Corsicana, will be the keynote speaker for the first Breakfast of Champions which will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 at the Cook Education Center on the Navarro College campus. The breakfast will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Navarro County.

“The Breakfast of Champions purpose is twofold,” said Barbara Kelley, Chair member. “We invite the community to join us for a fun-packed, pep-rally-style breakfast to meet several of our outstanding Boys and Girls Club members and to help us support these kids as they go back to school. “Whether we are driving STEM programs, providing a healthy meal, providing mentorship and tutoring, or simply providing a safe place to be after school and during the summers, our Boys and Girls Club is making an impact on our kids and an investment in our future,” she said.

“The Boys & Girls Club succeeds because of the generous support of businesses and people in Navarro County,” Kelley said. “This breakfast is a wonderful opportunity to send a message to our children that we are behind them all the way as they enter a new school year,” she said.
