The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has upgraded Richland Chambers Reservoir southeast of Dallas to fully “infested” with invasive zebra mussels. Fully infested status signifies that there is an established, reproducing population in the lake. The status change is a result of recent sampling efforts that revealed new evidence of reproducing and growing populations of zebra mussels in the lake.

A four-vehicle crash Thursday involving a car, two semi-trucks with trailers, and a pickup towing a boat, sent two people to the hospital and closed Interstate Highway 45 for hours.

I first fished with my friend guide Jason Barber about 12 years ago while doing the leg work for a magazine article on Cedar Creek Lake. I remember asking Jason what species we were going to fish for. His replied with a question, “What do you wish to catch”?

Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens recovered the body of a missing boater Sunday morning, July 14 at Richland Chambers Reservoir. The boater, identified as Lynn Earl Eggleston, 75, of Corsicana was found around 9:15 a.m. Sunday morning.


Navarro County Sheriff's Office continued its search for a missing boater on Richland Chambers Reservoir throughout the day Friday.
