The Navarro County Early Childhood Coalition opened another Little Free Library Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the Blooming Grove United Methodist Church at 300 S. Kerr St.

The state of Texas Thursday recognized the Navarro County Early Childhood Coalition with the Outstanding Community Collaboration Award. The Coalition consists of more than 50 daycare owners and directors, teachers, school counselors, nonprofit employees and local officials. 

More Little Free Libraries will be popping up around Corsicana this week as the Navarro County Early Childhood Coalition partners with the Corsicana Fire Department and YMCA to install the book-sharing boxes.

The Navarro County Early Childhood Coalition has created a guide for parents of young children during the COVID-19 crisis. The free, colorful booklet has 22 pages of ideas for staying at home, managing stress and making the best of changes to family routines.
