Rice's girls basketball team had one of the best seasons in the program's history on its way to the District 18-3A title, and the Lady Bulldogs were honored when the all-district team was announced.

Coach Ki'Undrea Smith's kids aren't just having the best girls basketball season in Rice's history, but they're improving up and down the lineup as a team and as individuals -- and as Rice heads into the final four games of the season Smith has more and more weapons all over the court.

The Rice Lady Bulldogs just keep rolling and are now 18-2 for the season and 9-1 in District 18-3A play after beating Scurry-Rosser 48-26 and Blooming Grove 87-24.

The Rice Lady Bulldogs returned to the court this week and won two critical district games, beating Scurry-Rosser 40-25 on Monday and knocking off defending district champ Malakoff 54-38 on Tuesday.

Rice won two more games this week and is now 7-0.

Rice's red-hot Lady Bulldogs are off to a remarkable start and are 5-0 after beating Hillsboro 47-29 on Saturday.
