Navarro's Bulldogs are back!

After waiting months to begin competing because of the pandemic, Navarro College's athletic program returns to competition this week as the Bulldogs begin to unleash all of its athletic teams, beginning with basketball on Wednesday.


Kerens' multi-sport star and All-State volleyball player Alexius McAdams has signed a letter of intent to accept a volleyball scholarship to Trinity Valley Community College, where the Cardinals' volleyball program is one of the best in the nation.


Corsicana's Lady Tigers wrapped up their volleyball season this week when the District 14-5A All-District team was finally announced after Midlothian, the last team in the district to lose, fell in the 5A state playoffs.


Mildred had another solid season and Blooming Grove and Rice saw their programs make big strides this year on the volleyball court.

The end result came when several players from these three Golden Circle schools earned post-season honors on the District 18-3A All-District volleyball team both on the court and in the classroom.

Frost's Lady Polar Bears had another big season on the volleyball court, earning the top 2A seed in the district and earning their ninth consecutive playoff berth. So it's no surprise that the Frost kids piled up post-season honors when the All-District team was announced.

The Frost Lady Polar Bears, who started basketball season late because of their run in the volleyball playoffs, stayed unbeaten with a 46-35 victory over Holland.
