From staff reports

The Eagles got a 52-yard touchdown run from Gavan Bass in the first quarter to put Fairfield up 6-0.

La Vega turned on the jets and put up 21 points to take a 21-6 lead going into the second quarter.

Fairfield added a 17-yard field goal from Nick Baker, but that would be the last offense the struggling Eagles (0-3) would see.

La Vega took a 35-9 lead into the locker room at halftime and added another 7 in the third quarter to cruise to the 42-7 victory.

Fairfield will look to get its first win of the season Friday when it travels to Waco Connally (1-2).
