The Rice Bulldogs stayed hot and improved to 2-0 in the district race Tuesday night with a 55-40 win over Eustace at Rice, where Elizhah Nezar continued to torch teams.
Nezar, coming off his MVP performance in the Kiwanis Classic, is off to a tremendous start in the district race. He poured in 25 points and grabbed 15 rebounds Tuesday with another impressive double-double.
In two games Nezar has scored 65 points and pulled down 27 rebounds to help Rice get off to a fast start in the district race. Rice is now 13-4 for the season after winning its fifth game in a row.
Tanner Carlisle scored 14 points and Jakobe Jessie added seven for the Bulldogs, who play at Palmer Friday night.
