Dawson's Da'Mariyea Hamilton, seen here in the Bulldogs' opening night win over Axtell, had another big night Friday in Dawson's 53-6 romp over Bartlett.

DAWSON -- Dawson's Bulldogs are starting 2019 attacking every way imaginable. They had no trouble with Bartletti in their first home game of the season and improved to 2-0 with a 53-6 romp Friday night at Ed Mitchell Field.

Ja’Mariyea Hamilton had the first touchdown for Dawson on a 20-yard run. The Bulldogs showed that they have speed, outrunning Bartlett all night. They have a pack of backs with speed, as Barlett found out.

Da’Mariyea Hamilton had four touchdowns and a total of 193 rushing yards, followed by Jakoby Moore with two touchdowns and a total of 74 yards.

D. Hamilton broke out with two touchdown runs, each for more than 70 yards. QB Brendan Horner added to the Dawson lead with a 5-yard run.  Horner and Seth Springer led Dawson in tackles with five each.

Dawson has found its stride on defense with numerous defenders in on tackles. Bartlett had one touchdown on the night on a Marcus Belcher 53-yard run. Belcher ended the night with 75 rushing yards.

Bartlett's LeVonte Davis had one reception for 38 yards. Daniel Medina and Rodolfo Rodriguez led the Bartlett defense with four tackles each. The Bartlett team never gave up, but Dawson has depth and talent that just could not be matched Friday night.

Dawson hits the road next week for a non-district game against Valley Mills.
