The Tigers ended the Forney Tournament with a 7-1 romp over South Oak Cliff to nail down their first win of the new season.

Some familiar names did the damage for Matt Loafman's Tigers. Jose Trevino and David Lara, two players who had big seasons last year, got off to fast starts as they scored two goals each to lead the Tigers.

Erick Lara, Pedro Torres and Cesar Morales also scored for Corsicana in a game the Tigers dominated from start to finish.

The Lady Tigers had a strong run in the prestigious Waxahachie Tournament, going 1-1-1. They defeated Mansfield Summit 1-0 and tied Haltom 0-0 before playing well in a 3-1 loss to Dallas White.

The Lady Tigers play Kaufman Tuesday night at Tiger Stadium in their first home game of the season.

The Tigers play at Everman on Thursday and will be on the road to start the season. Their first home game is Jan. 21.
