It was another big year for Frost’s Lady Polar Bears volleyball team and Elaine Woods’ kids reaped postseason honors when the District 13-2A All-District team was announced.
The Lady Polar Bears were the No. 1 seed from the district in the 2A volleyball playoffs and advanced to the Area round of the playoffs.
Sydney Woods was named the district’s Setter of the Year for the fourth consecutive season and Kinsley Fuller was named the 13-2A Defensive MVP.
Woods put the final touches to a remarkable career on the volleyball court. She handed out an amazing 665 assists this season, and did just about everything to help Frost put together a 23-12 record that included a 14-2 run in district play.
Woods not only set up shots, she slammed home 109 kills and delivered 102 aces and hustled to save 80 digs on defense.
Fuller also had a memorable volleyball career and topped it off with a big senior season, driving home 276 kills to go along with 119 aces and 106 digs on defense.
Sophomore Kyra Cerda was named to the 13-2A first-team.
Cerda finished the season with 117 kills and 24 blocks and nailed 71 aces from the service line while diving for 37 digs.
Emily De La Hoya earned second-team honors and the other three starters were on the district’s Honorable Mention list as Lexi Banks, Maddy Whitley and Jaden Jenkens all made the list.
Macy Cooper, Madeline Lee, Woods, Fuller, Cerda, De La Hoya, Banks, Whitley, and Jenkins all made the All-District Academic team. .
