The third annual Paul Bennett/Eddie Hambrick Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 11 at the Corsicana Country Club. The tournament benefits the Lion’s Children’s Camp in Kerrville, and is presented by the Corsicana Noon Lions.
Cost is $65 per person, and the entry fee includes green fees, cart and a catered meal before the tournament. Lunch is scheduled for noon, with the tee-off scheduled for 1 p.m.
Entries must be in by May 8, and individuals are welcome.
First-place team in each flight wins $400. The 18-hole scramble will be flighted by the four-member team handicaps. Prizes include closest to the hole on all par 3s, longest drive for men and women, and a putting contest will take place before the tournament.
Major sponsors this year include the Corsicana Daily Sun, Danotexican Services LLC, First Eye Care of Corsicana, McKee Lumber, Oil City Ironworks, Shilen Rifles Inc. of Ennis and St. John’s Episcopal Church.
