Blooming Grove’s Lions captured the Texas Teenage Baseball Association’s state championship in the high school eligible age group on Sunday at Buffalo, defeating Cameron 3-1 for the title.

The Lions went unbeated in six games and allowed just three runs in their three-game run to the title, beating Dekalb 7-1 and Moody 11-1 before knocking off Cameron in the final.

Ethan Nors hit three homers in the three-day tournament, including a grad slam, and he won started and won the semifinal against Moody and picked up a save, retiring the final three outs against Cameron.

Colton Nicholson also hit a home run for the Lions.

Justuce Revill started and got the win in the title game. Colton Gowan started and did not allow an earned run in the win over Dekalb.
